frequent asked questions

My products are purchased through my online shop in ETSY, the world’s greatest marketplace for artisans and craftspeople. There you will find a DIGITAL FILE, in a compressed file in zip format, containing all the documentation and information you need to create and assemble each product. Once you’ve purchased the product, you can download it immediately and start your project right away.

HOW BIG ARE THE FINAL PRODUCTS?

Worried about flimsy and ridiculously small end-results? Do not! I have always believed that size does really matter when DIYing so I have designed my templates on a proper scale so you can admire and brag about your creations -without the need for a magnifying glass, LOL.

Each brochure indicates the measurements of the end product so you can have a clear idea of what will it look like: benches on which you can actually sit down, dollhouses where your kids can play with their standard figurines, pet shelves where you can place your small items without having to kneel, kids’ houses where they can go in and out, wall mounts that can truly fill your wall… get the real deal, don’t settle for less!

CAN I RE-USE THE TEMPLATE FOR SEVERAL CREATIONS?

But of course! When you purchase one of my templates, I am transferring you the legal right to use it -for your own consumption- as many times as you like and make as many creations as you want.

Note, HOWEVER, I am not giving you the right to SELL or MAKE any kind of profit or gain from these templates -for which I hold the author’s copyright. This means you CANNOT sell them nor re-purpose them.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR DIGITAL FILE?

  1. Log in to your Etsy account.
  2. Click on “You” (top right)
  3. Choose “Purchases and reviews”
  4. Find the order. Click on “Download Files” (to the right of the order)
  5. The file will go to your “Downloads” folders.

CAN I RETURN A PURCHASE AND GET REFUNDED?

You CANNOT I am afraid. Due to the nature of the product, when a digital file has been downloaded by you, the customer, it is considered that you have received the product. You might or might not have made copies of it and therefore used the product.

Nevertheless, and in compliance with the EU Digital Content Directive 2019/770, I will fix any defects/bugs appearing on the downloaded templates within a reasonable amount of time. Alternative, if a fix is not possible, I will issue a full reimbursement or provide credit for other purchases.

Thus, make sure this is the product you really want to buy, check you understand its contents and requirements for assembling it BEFORE buying it.

IMPORTANT: I will refund ONLY if NO files have been downloaded. If the shop’s IT records indicate that ANY files have been downloaded, a refund will not be issued unless a defect/bug is proven to exist.

IS THE CARDBOARD INCLUDED IN THE SHIPMENT?

NO, you are purchasing a DIGITAL FILE containing blueprints and instructions to create the product, but you need to source the cardboard and other materials locally.

Shipping cardboard overseas is not sustainable nor cost-effective. And given its availability is widespread everywhere I decided to keep things simple, more eco-friendly… and cheaper for you. Therefore you will need to source the cardboard locally.

THEN, WHERE DO I GET THE CARDBOARD?

Different options are available depending on the project: from the most sustainable, you can recycle used cardboard boxes -visit your local grocery shop or supermarket, to purchasing the boards on specialized stationery or DIY stores, to buying them online (Amazon and the like). The latest is probably the most expensive and cumbersome as shipping large fragile cardboard boards is not the easiest feat in the world.

If you’re recycling, electronics cardboard packaging -such as flat-screen TVs, dishwashers, etc- are the best as they are large and resistant. Do make sure they are at least 7mm (1/4 in) thick for the larger projects. Check the schematic page of the project for guidance.

WHAT IF I GET STUCK ASSEMBLING THE TEMPLATE?

I aim to make everybody happy and proud of their ability to DIY using my templates. I provide a video for each template showing how is it assembled, almost step-by-step, so you are likely to find it very simple to follow.

But if you get stuck at any moment, you can always contact me via email or via a message on the wall of Ezy2DO on Facebook, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

MY CREATION DID NOT RESIST THE WEIGHT I PUT ON!

Did you use the recommended plank thickness? Did you respect the weight limit I indicated in the instructions?

Designing 3D products that need to resist wear and tear requires careful consideration of weight and material resistance. Cardboard is a wonderful material capable of the most amazing uses. When I make the templates I take into account these and other factors and calculate the maximum weight that can be placed upon each structure in order to make it resistant and safe.

Most of my creations are designed to be made using 7mm (1/4in) cardboard –technical jargon, Type: C/5+C3-D/D C/C. When sourcing your cardboard, MAKE SURE you are using planks of ‘at least’ that thickness. If recycling cardboard, avoid planks that have too many foldings and/or weak spots as their structural resistance might have been compromised.
